Cole has nearly two decades of executive experience in the energy space and sits on multiple boards. He serves as Chairman of Bridgelink and concentrates on strategic growth for all entities in the renewable energy space. The family office now holds over $300M of assets and company shares. This valuation is expected to triple in size over the next 3 years due to the contracts and the backlog of projects and acquisitions. Under Cole’s leadership as Chairman, has co-led the development team to a pipeline backlog of over 10GW of renewable energy projects.
Cord has over a decade of operational, finance and development experience in the energy space. He currently serves as CEO and sits on multiple boards and is a board member for Bridgelink where he oversees all corporate, technology, operational, financial, and human resource aspects of the company. Cord’s specializes in taking companies from different stages in their life cycle and growing them according to the organization’s execution plan. These companies have increased in gross revenues with year-over-year growth. Under Cord’s leadership and using technology, Bridgelink has been successful at navigating through the rapid changes of the renewable energy business. Was instrumental in developing a business plan in greenfield development and acquisition of 38 projects in 5 states with a combined portfolio of over +10GW. Successfully led the acquisition of 3 major utility scale renewable energy development projects. Bridgelink has been able to consistently expand its platform despite challenging market conditions in the energy sector. Cord provides leadership on all aspects of development and acquisitions of PV Solar and Battery Energy and Storage projects ($150 + million per project). He has also participated in multiple transactions in many sectors including power purchase agreements, land development transactions, commercial agreements and master supply agreements and contracts valued at over $100MM. Cord and the family office at Bridgelink have concentrated on building good teams and foundations to accomplish successful business over the past 11 years.
Trent has over 15 years of experience covering all aspects of land work with a primary focus on the development and build out of Commercial Assets. He currently serves as Bridgelink’s Chief Operating Officer and oversees the Development and Commercial Operations Teams for the Company. Trent has exceptional communication, management, and negotiating skills in addition to his demonstrated expertise in the Development of Commercial Assets. Throughout Trent’s career he has been responsible for the development, buildout, and management of over $250MM in various O&G assets across the U.S, working for companies such as ConocoPhillips (NYSE: COP), MorningStar Partners, and EOG (NYSE: EOG). He has built teams ranging from 30-75 employees in various ISO’s across the U.S. which include ERCOT, MISO, PJM, WECC, and CAISO. Trent’s primary focus in the last 5 years has been the development of renewable assets. Trent with the Operations Team here at Bridgelink has been responsible for building out an overall renewable energy project pipeline consisting over +12 GWs of PV Solar and BESS projects. For his leadership roles in these various companies, Trent has received multiple awards, including two Special Recognition Awards for outstanding work with landowners with HSE concerns, a Difference Maker Award for performance at high level, managing multiple projects while coordinating teamwork projects on behalf of the company. Trent also received a Spirit Award for integrity creating community advocates. Trent has a Bachelor of Science degree in Ag Services and Development from Tarleton State University.
Paul has over 20 years of experience in the energy sector. This includes various leadership roles in – Operations, Finance, Investments and M&A. Paul joined Bridgelink Engineering in 2019 and has been involved with the development of major projects in the U.S. as wells all investments, capital raises, and acquisitions. He currently serves as CIO for Bridgelink and oversees multiple aspects of the company including M&A, capital raises, and investments. He has been actively involved in his career in transactions ranging from $150MM – $2.5B in size. Over his 20-year career, he has held various engineering, operational management, and business development positions large operations at Murray Energy Corporation, one of the largest mining companies in the U.S. with over 3,000 employees and Regency Energy Partners, L.P. (“RGP”), a publicly traded Master Limited Partnership now owned by Energy Transfer (NYSE: ET) which has an EV of $46B and considered one of the largest and most diversified energy companies in the United States. Paul holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering from Penn State University.
Aaron Johnson, Chief Financial Officer, has over 25 years of global experience in the Energy sector. His experience includes a successful career as a CPA in the Big 4 accounting firms, including as a Partner with Ernst & Young responsible for due diligence, valuation, corporate finance and IPOs. For the past 10 years, Aaron was CFO of both large and small private energy companies (owned by private equity and family offices), leading finance, accounting, credit, treasury, tax, M&A, finance transformation and raising capital. Aaron has managed finance teams of 10 people up to 250+ people, including shared service resources. Throughout his career, Aaron has been heavily involved in M&A (buy side and sells side), as well as raising capital through private placements and IPOs. As the Group CFO of Varo Energy, Aaron managed the $1.2b borrowing based facility and a $200m term loan with a consortium of global lenders. As a strategic and commercial CFO, Aaron is a trusted advisor to the CEO and brings a disciplined approach to managing the finance and administrative functions.
